Pressure on Zion

The Trailblazers and Clippers remain without their superstars (Dame, PG, Kawhi), so the pressure has to start reheating on Zion at this/some point. Sure, he's not 100% "healed," but the longer the Pels remain 2-3 games out of a playoff spot, the more Zion looks like an a-hole in the grand scheme. At first it was the Pels' fault for not sucking his dick to completion enough, but at this point it's becoming more and more obvious (on a mass, public, league-wide scale) that Zion's behavior and attitude approaching rehab last summer was completely unprofessional and subpar. In addition, Zion's commitment to the game and dedication to the team are less than commendable. All of this to say, so long as the Pels are in the playoff fringes, the more Zion looks like a jackass - for robbing the Pelicans franchise of operational revenue and for robbing fans of fun basketball to watch. None of this is actually Zion's job. Nor should he be blamed for it. But frick, for love of Christ, can he get his shite together in 2022.

Signs of regression" served as the announced reason for Kevin Durant to undergo a third surgery on his right foot March 31, officially ending a season that saw the former MVP play 27 games.
Now that he has returned to the court with the dynamic force he brought back Wednesday on the second day of USA Basketball minicamp, Durant has no fear in acknowledging the severe state he found his fifth metatarsal in despite the two prior surgeries.
Dude, these things just take time and/or multiple surgeries. Every basketball player that's broken that has dealt with it. It cost Embiid 3 years of his career. It cost Durant a whole year. It's the hardest part of the body to get to heal.
Give the kid a break, it's not like he's sitting around watching TV and doing nothing, he's trying to rehab and wants to get back out there.
At least show some fricking support, the team that's out there battling without him is, why is it so hard for the "fans" not to shite on him every single day?

1. they dont know basketball?
2. they only know to focus on the championship.
enjoying the game is way down the list for such posters.

The only pressure Zion is feeling is in his elastic waist band after a big meal.

I honestly am not expecting Zion to return this season and if he does I don’t expect anything more than some game minutes late in the season to get him some game experience going into the off-season.
Fix the foot for good. Try to get better in the meantime.
