For those interested this is how I figured this out.
LSU right now without transfers points is sitting at a total score of 218.
With transfers they are at 265 points.
According to class calculator Matthews rated at 28 points, Citizen at 23, and Lewis at 6 (rounded up)
All of those added up would be 57.
265+57 would be 322. Which would be 3rd overall.

If LSU were to maybe sneak up and get for example Douglas (along with Citizen, Lewis, Matthews) it would bump them at number 1 potentially.
It is very possible to be at even number 1 overall.
Incredible.

Unfortunately the math isn’t that straightforward. 247 uses an algorithm that assigns less than that full player value according to the other players in the recruiting class.
To prove that - look at the recruit number right now, which is 219, + the transfer number is 72, but the overall number is only 265. Pretty significant discount from just the straight math.
So total guess here, but assuming we reel in Matthews, Citizen, Lewis and one of Burton/Douglas, it’s probable that we end up 5th/6th but going much higher than that likely isn’t possible at this point.
That said, 5th/6th given where we were at one point is a win in my book.

If you add Mathews, Citizen, and Lewis our HS score is 251.
Right now our HS score (219) and transfer score (72) gives us a total of 265. It’s not just additive, as others have pointed out. With the current transfers plus the three guys you listed, the total class score isn’t likely to exceed 285-290 in reality.
That’s still a hell of an improvement compared to where we were, though.
