That's a path to tyranny.
There shouldn't be many absolutes in any system dealing with people, but that's an absolute. Presumed innocent until proven guilty after proper due process. No exceptions.

Agreed, but Judges should also have some leeway to put longer sentences in place based on a crazy number of arrests.
