Vinyl floors show every imperfection in the substrate. To remove tile and (probably) grind the slab is expensive and labor intensive. If you want cheap, cut the bottoms of your doors off, rip off the shoe molding, and lay the vinyl over the tile. Kidding. Mostly.

And the cherry on top... you will be finding dust everywhere no matter how well you covered things and even if you go with one of the 'dustless' machines/companies
I would live with existing tile, lay something on top of it, or just move before I went through that again.
