Because they were making it stronger by giving the central government more power than had existed under the Confederation. This is pretty widely known in our country.
Did they seek to make it a lot more powerful, or barely enough more powerful so that it could solve some of the AoC challenges?
What were the primary AoC challenges that led to the need for the convention?
