It would be crazier to keep him knowing it’s not working out just because it’s only been a year. Sunk Cost fallacy.

They worked in the same building as Culley for an entire year and saw him up close and thought he couldn’t get it done. Their jobs are just as tied to the success of the program as his is. Maybe they are wrong and he’s a great coach. I have my doubts, but another team is more than able to give him a shot to prove that correct.

If he had done a better job then they would have kept him.

No decent head coach was going to take that job last year, so they hired a nice guy that would jump at the opportunity because he would never get a second look from any other team. And he won't get any looks now.
