Finally got to watch last night, avoided this thread all week to avoid spoilers. Wow, what a great episode to cap off a most excellent show. No fluff, just straight-up action and hilarity.
*Spoiler warning*, even though there are several in this thread already.
There was no doubt in my mind Peacemaker was going to refuse the butterfly, what she was saying sounded like a John Kerry speech. Nice twist that she was the one he took care of her in the jar, so knew he was a good person. As mentioned above, the SJW stuff was almost to be expected, but made it extra satisfying when he activated the torpedo helmet at the cow and shot her alien arse in the heart.
If there is any continuation of this, will be interesting if Harcourt and Chris get it on after she gets out of the hospital. She's so freaking hot in this show. I really hope we get more with this lineup, luckily almost all of the main characters survived. Right on to James Gunn, and to all of the actors and producers!

Loved the finale. The potential twist with the Gunn butterfly’s story was perfectly done by Gunn and perfect response from Peacemaker
Feel like this did not set up for a season 2 though. Hopefully they’ll make one anyway, but has a very one and done feel to it unfortunately

Doesn’t really matter a ton, but to clarify, this wasn’t a twist- her being the same butterfly he took care of was a major part of the plot and was shown and he knew exactly who it was (which is why he called her Goff the whole time)

spoiler response:
when she was going on about that, i was like, "great, they just had to use that as an excuse in this show, and shoehorn it into the finale."
i actually thought the opposite though. i thought he was going to fall for it. but when he activated the helmet, and had Adebayo kill the cow, it was quite shocking. wasn't expecting that.
not sure why he took Goff home though. we see him give it/he/her the last of the food he had. wonder how they keep it going forward with him having Goff as a "pet".
