Early Spring trip to Uvalde area - anyone have information on fishing?

I got no specifics but a few points to remember, most all of the land around those rivers are private property, there will be spots to dump in a kayak but you'll have to arrange transportation for where ever you plan to exit the river. Another is the weather, spring time you'll never know what you'll get but all it takes is a couple of inches of rain in certain areas and those rivers get out of their banks in a hurry so heed the warning. Lake Amistad is about an hour west of where you will be so lining up a guide over there might be an option, fishing is awesome there in the spring and the lake is one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the country if the water is at a decent level.
