No, these people on the Port NOLA Board who made the decision are appointed by the Governor. And you are being obtuse; obviously the locals want a vote on the issue itself. The people of St. Bernard did not vote for Edwards and now his cronies come in a take over part of the parish.

That said, I think the port in The Parish is a great idea because it is downriver of the city and has decent interstate access and rail access. If it was on the westbank truck traffic through the city and on the CCC bridge would skyrocket.

They'd need to majorly upgrade 90 and 3127 for something around Chalmette to work.

2019 runoff JBE had 54% of the vote over Rispone.
