I’m not saying you do, I’m just saying this is why it’s going in St. Bernard and not plaquemines. It doesn’t make a ton of sense in plaquemines.
ETA: I’ve yet to hear a reasonable argument against it from St. Bernard residents. It’s always just muh way of life down here.

Plaquemines would need even more state infrastructure improvements than St. Bernard... and the state isn't committing to the infrastructure needed in St. Bernard.
What people don't want is another situation like we saw with the new airport terminal... where one government agency builds something and DOTD doesn't build the needed surrounding infrastructure until years later.

Outside of a few neighbors... the only reasonable argument is if the necessary road and rail improvements are not made. Our current road and rail network in St. Bernard can not handle the increased traffic without major improvements.
