Yea the doc took his time and did a good job. He had to cut out some meat in 4 spots to get it looking decent. Even though your nerves are numb to it your body still knows what is going on. When he was cutting the skin and meat out I broke out into a cold sweat and almost passed out.

Dr. didn't give you a shot to deaden the area. Last time I would go to that Dr. Life lesson to me. No palm router for this wanna be carpenter.

Might want to follow up with a hand surgeon.

Hard to tell what’s what from one pic, but looks like there may be a severed tendon in that before shot (abductor pollicis longus or extensor pollicis brevis).

Props to that doc. I don’t see who they can do that. I bet they’ve seen an awful amount of similar injuries in that area recently. Sorry to hear about your injury. I broke my ankle pretty bad a few years back and that really takes a toll. Rest up.
