I admit in the 80s I was a hater...but as I have gotten older, I have come to appreciate the talent.

And like others said, wham and then solo George Michael was about as big as it came back then...music, concerts, videos, etc..

I wasn't exactly a hater, but thought he was a lightweight until I saw him nail Somebody To Love" on the Freddie Tribute show.
