They are bad in Minnesota; but not that bad. Most of the people who complain about them are from dryer parts of the midwest or from larger cities where they aren't that big of a problem.

The upper gulf coast has it much worse.

Dear lord Absolutely, MN has 10,000 lakes, the lakers are originally from Minnesota hence the name. Anyone that says otherwise is full of shvt. If you drive on the interstate at night up there, it’s going to look like it’s raining with your lights on but it’s really the mosquitoes and your vehicle will be completely caked over with mosquito guts every night.
