TVs are generally significantly cheaper than monitors because of the difference in pixel density and the difference in processor (which is responsible for the much faster response time you noted).

Fwiw I think the 1ms response time is the most overrated monitor/tv spec there is. I can give frick all about it unless I’m gaming on a Zenith with the built in dvd player from 2002 or something 
I do recognize response lag when it occurs without a “game mode” setting turned on. Once it’s turned on, whatever shite response time these TVs have is quicker than I can recognize.
