There are many more, but this is the most relevant, I think.
Patients may be given a copy of a VIS during a prior visit, or told how to access it through the internet, so they can read it in advance. These patients must still be offered a copy to read during the immunization visit, as a reminder.
Patients must still be offered a copy of the VIS to take away following the vaccination. The patient may decline.
If this isn't happening, that's a problem.

I guarantee they aren’t being passed out at hospitals, doctors, etc.
I only get these when I get meds at pharmacy and tbh I never read them.
Sure never got any of these from a hospital when similar has been done, meds, shots, etc in the ER/ED. It is usually just a discharge paper with very vague documentation.
