It’s way past time to stop calling omicron “mild” if we’re being honest. That was probably a big mistake early on from the health experts to do so.

I gots the vid right now. It sucks. Know more than a few people with it. No surprise the numbers are going up. Ain’t gonna lie, the body aches and headache last night had me thinking of going to an ER and asking them to fix me.

I’ve seen some suggest that it is more mild than other variants. But not mild in of itself. Not even the flu isn’t mild for most people. It’s dangerous in some.
There was always going to be more hospitalizations with Omicron over the recent historic low for Louisiana. I still doubt seriously it comes close to Delta….or that anyone is really testing for individual variants either way.

Other countries are showing a 50-70% drop in hospitalizations and ICU compared to previous waves. Great analysis by you.
