I legit did the same thing to a girl I was dating back around 2001….I picked her up from a friends house to go to a business function and she dressed up like she was going to be serving drinks at the dollar ballet on half off night. I was polite and told her that it looked good but this was a conservative business function. She thought it was good enough and sternly told me she was going as she was dressed. She was right! We left and I drove straight to her Mom’s house where I dropped her butt off before going to the party solo. She was hella pissed for a day or 2 and got over it.
