I have my platform in a long rope that I clip to my pack and leave on the ground on the way up. Once I’m up, I just pull it up and attach to the tree.
My buddies set up I'm using includes a heavy S hook attached to a 30' cord. I can leave everything on the ground (pack, bow, platform). Set sticks going up then once at top, drop S hook and pull up each item as needed. Thought it was a good idea.

100% public land the last 2 years and use the tethrd phantom/predator platform. I carry one hawk helium stick with aider and can get as high as I want. I rappel down after the hunt(it’s actually really fun rappelling out of the tree). Weight saving has been the biggest plus for me. The other big plus is that the deer don’t seem to notice you in the saddle. Sometimes you just can’t find enough cover especially later in the year. In a climber those deer would consistently pick me off but not in a saddle.
