Dixie ain’t there no more!
Tom Benson saved it from its Hurricane Katrina exile in Wisconsin, and he brought it home to live again in the city like it had since 1907.
Tom died. Gayle took over his businesses. In the process of renaming his dealerships after herself, she expressed her world view as wokeity woke woke.
She apparently doesn’t like the name Dixie, so she killed the century old brand. It’s now called Faubourg Brewing Company.
It would have been better for Dixie to have stayed in exile. Tom lovingly tried to breathe new life into a New Orleans institution. The Queen Be-itch decided to kill It for societal acceptance!
She and Faubourg can go F each other.
I recommend Abita, NOLA, or one of the other local micro brews. Who knows, one day when Gayle dies, one of the locals may once again breathe new life into Dixie Beer.
