much better than turkey
basically all dark meat, rich and flavorful
be advised, roasting a goose produces an amount of rendered fat that you haven’t seen before. Roast it on a rack over a deep pan and drain it once or twice (save for cooking potatoes)

I second the caution about goose fat... you will get a huge volume of fat. The fattiness makes it unlikely to dry the meat. Handling all that melted fat and cleanup are major efforts...expect a very greasy kitchen.
Per pound of raw bird, turkey yields much more cooked meat for serving.
