Just so I can compare your situation accurately…..
We’re you a starter for the football team at LSU?
If not, I’m not sure anyone here cares about your college experience and it likely bears no similarities to Austin Deculus

This is a really Weird level of hostility. Anyone who has seen a dream scenario go sour over time and takes the ride down wonders if they got out too late. Much like John Ed Bradley’s book about playing at LSU makes clear, a lot of people struggle with their college experience. It was SO intense it’s hard to duplicate. And you don’t have to be on the football team to duplicate that feeling. It could be anything that was emotionally intense. Especially if it was part of a tight knit group. Damn people get so angry. What’s up with that?

Weird, hostile take. When I was at LSU, I played in the band but had several very close friends who were on the football team. Other than our roles on Saturday nights in the stadium, I think we had some very similar experiences in college. You should read "It Never Rains In Tiger Stadium" by former LSU football player John Ed Bradley. There's a lot more that goes on for athletes than just the sport they play. They are still human with relationships, doubts, highs and lows.
