If you worked through the pandemic and your wages didn't rise 20-30% you got FRICKED! Why do I say this? Because many service sector jobs, warehouse jobs/logistics, transportation, etc. saw wage increases from 15-40%. Case in point. Prior to the Covid 19 pandemic a starting wage at a fast food restaurant was $8-10 depending on your geographic location....that starting wage is now over $15/hr in most parts of the country Prior to the pandemic a typical warehouse worker was making $12-15/hr, those wages are now over $20/hr....and on and on. That 20-30% wage inflation is going to be showing up in goods and services for years to come.

If you're a union worker with no COLA component in your 3-4 year union contract...your 3% annual wage increase on your $40/hr job pales in comparison to the wage increase received by the Americans who left low skill jobs and have sat on their asses the past 18 months. All of those people are returning to their low skill jobs with +30% wage increases. Starbucks employees are organizing with union representation and starting wages to pour coffee will be over $15/hr with benefits.

Consider this, if you had $100k in cash for an emergency fund you've lost at least $10k in purchasing power due to inflation over the past year thanks to ZIRP. Imagine the Fed keeping ZIRP in place while true inflation is running well over 10%. If that's not bad enough for ya Biden's inflation tsunami was just given a boost by the Swamp Recucklicans under Mitch McConnell's feckless leadership.....if you don't think the American Marxist weren't given the green light by McConnell to add another $5 trillion to the inflation tsunami via Biden's Build Back Bankrupt wet dream legislation you're not paying attention...Thanks Mitch!

Yes, the Americans that sucked it up through the pandemic and kept on working because they were considered essential workers...essentially got screwed with standard annual pay increases of 3-4% and double digit inflation. I guess we're lucky this inflation is only transitory.......yeah, sure it is.
