Good advice as my son has been know to ride his bike off our dock into the pond behind the house. Kids are rough on things like that save the good bike for when they are a teen if they are still into riding

Don’t care what kind of bike . Razor scooter for the win first they will learn balance and be riding in no time . Less than two weeks for my boys.
