I mean PROFESSIONAL sports leagues typically don't allow that either.

I don’t know about that. Off the top of my head, I can remember many ads of JJ Watt, Drew Brees, Mark Ingram etc. in their uniforms

There is a large payment to the team if a professional player is in his team uniform for an add. I'm assuming that would be the same for college NIL deals when it is allowed by the NCAA
