I really don't know how he's gonna fix the shooting. Hopefully he can. Maybe if they take better shots and can get Days to not rush his shot so much they'll start falling more. Should be an interesting 10 days for these guys.

It really is simply about taking better shots. It's great to make threes, but basketball is about creating mismatches and creating easy buckets. LSU has the length, athleticism and finishing ability to dominate, offensively (they're already dominating defensively), if/when they move the ball properly. They did that earlier in the year, but in the last few games they look like they want to prove that they can shoot from the outside (which they aren't proving much there, so far), instead of just sticking with what was working.

After they went up 29-11, they just abruptly stopped running any offense for the rest of the first half and chucked up almost nothing but threes, which not only killed our scoring, but also seemed to get us out of sorts on defense for a while, as Ohio started draining some wide open threes.

Sometimes coaches say critical things after a win, and it feels disingenuous, as though they don't want to let on that they're ever satisfied. But I don't get that sense from Will, and I would have said the exact same things if it were me. It's nice to win, and pat yourself on the back, but getting lazy and selfish on offense is absolutely NOT a sustainable formula. The break comes at just the right time. They got to it without a loss, and they get some time to refocus and get back to what they do well.

I agree. I suspect part of the reason LSU went into 3 point mode is due in part to fatigue. I think they expended so much energy playing defense early on that they got a little lazy on the offensive end. Being up so much also contributed to that.

I can’t remember the last time an opposing team sat on zero with around 12-13 minutes left to go in a half. LSU expended a lot of energy with all of that defensive intensity. It was great to see.
