WWE Smackdown/AEW Rampage Thread: Forbidden Door Go Home with Cajuns Edition

Once again, Forbidden Door is this Sunday night. Fortunately the LSU game on Sunday will be at 2 PM (weather permitting) so the game should be long over before the PPV starts and we can all enjoy a night of rasslin no matter what happens in baseball.

Can't say the same for tomorrow night as the game will be only an hour old when Collision starts.

Apparently Vince made 1 huge change on Raw this week. What happened on TV... Seth Rollins comes out for the World Heavyweight Championship open challenge but gets jumped from behind by Finn Balor who cancels the open challenge. Then Miz comes out and issues his own open challenge which Tommaso Ciampa accepts and Ciampa wins.

What was originally supposed to happen... Seth makes the open challenge, Tommaso Ciampa accepts it, they have a long, multi-segment match that ends in a no contest to protect Rollins, the Balor story, & Ciampa's return.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown comes from the Cajundome on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Lafayette, La.

And tonight we unify the Women's Tag Team Championships as WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler take on the NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre. 2 sets of champions walk in, 1 set will have all the gold. And I think we all know it'll be Rousey & Baszler.

AEW Rampage comes from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Ill., wrapping up AEW's week in the Windy City.

The Chaos vs. United Empire War in AEW continues in an 8-man tag match tonight as Chaos' Chuckie T, Trent Beretta, Rocky Romero, & Yoh team up against United Empire's Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, Jeff Cobb, & special guest Swerve Strickland.

2 kinda surprise appearances tonight as both Adam Cole & MJF will be on tonight's show... in fact... this is MJF's Rampage debut.

In a not totally surprising appearance... The Acclaimed will also be here... earning a win over some jobbers and doing some rapping... maybe about Chicago's murder rate.

The Owen Hart Cup Tournament gets started tonight as Anna Jay-A-S takes on Chicago's own Skye Blue in a quarterfinal around match.

Did you know Taka Michinoku still wrestles in 2023? Did you know he formed a new stable in NJPW at the start of this year? Well... Taka's faction 'Just 5 Guys' will be represented tonight as J5G's Douki takes on the soon-to-be-heel "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry.
