This is a mild review. I tried to document a few things. Take it for what it is.

No road trip to the metroplex would be complete without a stop in West, Tx for some kolaches and restroom breaks. I like the place slightly off the interstate:

Made fresh daily. The ground sausage with jalapeño and cheese was my favorite.
Restroom:

Upon arrival had some time to kill so we went to the stockyards. It was ok to walk around and stretch after the long ride. Not really much to see, some cows and what appeared to be mediocre restaurants. Very tourist oriented, not sure I would recommend.

Dinner was at grace. Had a few drinks on the patio then inside for the main course. I didn't manage to get any pics of food (sorry) but would recommend this. Had a more casual bar seating that was less dressy. Had the beef short rib pastrami. The pozole looked better.

After dinner strolled to the square of some kind. It was neat:

While strolling around we stumbled upon reata (recommended by a td poster in a prior thread): the rooftop was nice. They had whiskey

Saturday begin with a trip to the museum district. Beginning with lunch at the kimbell. I was really hung over so I just sipped coffee.

The piano building is new, they had a few items.

The main building was were I got the most entertainment.
This baw wanted everyone in the 17th century to see how big his knuckles were:

This deer is kind of small, this painting could use another couple years imo:

After the kimbell, went up the hill to Amon carter:

It had a nice view of downtown:

At this point I am sweating my arse off and detoxing pretty bad. They had a lot of water fountains:

Some strong thing that made colors in the light:

Need to put Andrew Jackson back on the $5 bill:

I can only assume this is where people of ft worth settled their differences before sonic:

After experiencing some culture and attempting to grow mentally, it was time to get drunk. We found out way over to magnolia st and Kent and co bar

I really enjoyed this place. They had an excellent wine and beer selection. Friendly staff. And a nice patio. Numerous bottles were consumed.

After Kent and co it was determined some members of the party were too drunk to eat in public. We opted for take out from angelos BBQ.

I am not too picky so I ate it. No complaints. Some of you bbq snobs may feel differently. Best deal I think is the two vacuum sealed chickens for $6. I took a few packs home. They had an impressive taxidermy collection:

Here is the new Tom Thumb on seventh st:

Being Easter, family time on Saturday night and did not make it back out.

Sunday morning consisted of a partially catered breakfast from the folks that used to run "cafe Louise" it was pretty good. Apparently they have some email list and is by request. May look into if you ever get a chance. The restaurant if I remember was French style somewhat fine dining:

Some kind of ham and egg caserole, coffee cake. Bacon not included.

This is my first travel review, and a tame weekend for the most part. Will try to get more pics of food in the future. Hope you enjoyed looking at this.
