I honestly don’t care either way what this team wears. We will wear our “traditional uniforms” vs most teams, but it’s okay to switch it up every now and again. People are freaking out as if purple isn’t one of our primary colors. Team could wear all purple, all gold, all white or some combination of such and I’m going to cheer my arse off for them.

Bama didn't invent having a consistent brand/tradition with uniforms.
USC, Michigan, Penn St. etc.
Those teams don't deviate much and have created a lasting brand. That is incredibly important.

Look at Alabama and USC.

I love how LSU has started standardizing the helmet tiger logo on everything. We have really begun to develop better branded materials.

While USC, Michigan and Penn State are recognizable brands, their teams haven’t been. I’m all for LSU being on brand, but we can’t always wear gold, white, gold. For the 1-2 games that this occurs, it’s okay to deviate if we’re staying with our brand colors.
