title sounds weird....
but ok so ive been thinking about this for a while now. obviously Brad wing is the best punter in the nation and the best punter we have ever had, and by no means am i taking anything away from his talents.
but i want to know what yall think. in the florida game what do you think it was that vaulted him to the top of the fans favorite list. was it the 50 yard touchdown run? or the taunting penalty?
im going to have to go with the taunting penalty.
i remind you that im not taking anything away from his talent, he earned the respect of every team we play for his skills, but i want to know what yall think

Yea, definitely his cuteness.

I would have to say his punting ability.

Def. the taunting played a part but 90% of his punts being placed inside the 20 didn't hurt either.

I think its the 18 inches or what ever per return and dropping almost every punt in the 20 when in position.

Definately just the skill! He kicks with either foot. The taunting wasnt bad either....

Taking pictures w/ chicks during the game

The fact that i now expect the ball to be downed inside the 10 everytime he punts from midfield on in....yeah, thats what won me over. How spoiled we are when we're guessing the yardline inside the 10 where we will down the ball. He's quite the weapon.

He was already well liked among the fan base because of his punting ability. The fake punt, and the fact that our PUNTER got the first ever TD called back because that penalty kind of put him over the top.
So to answer your question...He was a bad arse punter before, but just the fact that we can have a punter score a 50 yard TD...then get it called back because of taunting...made him even more of the man.

Probably drunk chicks at Tigerland if I had to guess.

Donnie Jones is still the best punter we've ever had but if Wing plays like this for the next few yrs then he'll pass him

This poster made him a god.

9:30 4th LSU 4th & 2 at LSU9 Wing punts. No return. Ball on Ala18.

Our lack of offensive production was turning the momentum in Bamas' favor. They were excited because they just knew they were about to get good field position. Wing punted 73 yds. and got the momentum swing stopped. He was great starting with Oregon but this was his biggest moment this season, IMO.

Im in agreement with you. Wings punts are a total asset to LSU. And he is still a freshman

It is his no return yards and his punting inside the 10 yard line. He is close to being the mvp. I f he was not a kicker he would be.
