This team played 7 games in eight days, from last Monday to yesterday. 6 of those games were against the No 1 and 2 seeds. LSU faced every ace from every staff.
Jay was right last night. This will go down as the greatest CWS performance of all time.

I thought LSU got a VERY favorable draw in the regional and super regional rounds (UK benefitted from good non-conf. wins, but only took one series from an SEC team that made the NCAAT).
The CWS draw was significantly more difficult. Made more difficult by losing their 2nd of the CWS. LSU had to play 5 games against the two best pitching staffs in the country. In two of those games the pitching matchup, on paper, was decided in favor of the opponent. In both games LSU's bullpen out-pitched the opponent.
Greatest performance? That will always be up for debate. But you can't argue that LSU had to play 3 of the 5 best teams in Omaha (not including themselves, obviously) and beat EACH of them twice.

LSU WF Fla and Tenn were definitely the best 4 teams, no doubt about it!
