What a great time in life to be a college athlete! My goodness a lot of us RANTARDS would be multi-millionaires (probably NOT) if this crap was available back in our prime!

Seriously, a GREAT player or even just an average starter can make BIG bucks just by transferring and offering their services to the "highest" bidder.

About time the equilibrium changed so that kids can be compensated - along w getting a degree. Institutions make millions off these football warriors. I'm good w it. Would love to see a few in purple and gold....

Question is: How do WE (fans) take advantage? My proposal is to get the NFL guys to "help" out which they probably already do to some degree. Lord knows they have the $$$$$$$$$$$$. Also STRENTGH in numbers. TAF says hello!!!!! LOL

This just isn’t true.

This isn’t free agency. NFL teams can’t sign free agents for $5k-$10k (which is above average for an NIL deal) or even $0 like CFB teams can.

Wrong.. let’s not act like every superstar will enter the portal & just go to the highest bidder.

Drake Maye, Redshirt Freshman QB & Heisman candidate at UNC… you think he is going in the portal & going to USC next year?

It’s actually pathetic and diminishes most adults desire to become as invested in the program as they have in the past.

Wease is a dumb example for this topic. The coach that he wanted to play for at OU left, unlike a number of their offensive players that immediately left last offseason he gave Venables a chance, they've slipped significantly from last season.

Youre right. Anyone that emerges as a star for their team, can force their own team to pony up or they can enter the portal for someone that will.
Hard to argue with any player that transfers for more money and/or a better future with the rules that are now.

Just look at head football coaches. They annually leave their players and schools for more money and easier places to win. Whats good for the goose....
