But Morgantown is definitely in the north

I think this is my primary problem with bringing y'all in. It's too close to Pittsburgh for me to consider being in the "South", and I really want to keep with geographic and cultural identity as best as possible. Traveling up there every other year would kinda suck. It's about as far of a drive from Auburn as Arkansas is, but in the wrong direction to keep with "Southeastern".

I mean, I have no problem bringing y'all in from an athletics standpoint, but the geography of both y'all and Mizzou bothers me.

Completely understand that but regional identity has been completely thrown out in conference membership

Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas in Pac-12?
Penn State in Big 10?
Pitt and Syracuse in ACC?
Louisiana Tech in WAC?
Marshall, ECU, UCF in CUSA?
TCU in Big East?

It's been thrown out for all the other conferences, but I'd like the SEC to stick with it. Aside from integrity with being called the "Southeastern Conference", the far east and far west schools already have to spend a lot to get to each other, with having to haul students back and forth for football, basketball, baseball, AND all the Olympic sports, and that's a lot of extra expenses and missed classes. Bringing in more geographically-questionable schools doesn't help that at all.

That was my 900th post.

that has nothing to do with why WVU is a bad fit. you dont have the population base to help a future sec network. and you can change that.

sec network isnt going to get the premium royalty in penn just because WVU has fans in pitt. same goes for DC, Maryland, Baltimore. you cant change your state population which is the main reason Im against WVU.

plus at a min you would need to add 46 mill to existing contracts just for current members to break even.
