Even Texas fans agree it would hurt their recruiting.

I see another angle out of this recruiting deal. Obviously Texas has a ton of good recruits that come out of the state year in/out and schools from everywhere try to get a few of them. All of the pac ten gets recruits from Cali and obviously tries to invade Texas. I think Stoops (zona), Kelly (uo), Riley (osu) probably get more than the rest do and will use this to their advantage and more than likely take another recruit or two from texas. I don't necessarily mean from Texas but it will increase the overall pressure. I know for sure Oregon has increased their presence and doing well. More than likely their starting QB this fall is from Houston, the starting RB is from Texas. They pulled one of the best RB's out of high school this past recruiting class and also signed two other backs from Texas.

Imo I think Texas will do fine no matter where they go but it doesn't exactly make it easy on them. Unless they go to the big ten.

Ever been to Austin, much less UT? Taken a tour of the facilities? Ain't nuthin' gonna destroy that. Texas is going to get their recruits, period. Austin is too cool and UT can afford the best of everything.

I hate to admit it, but there is a lot of truth in this post.

I agree with this!

For the life of me, I can't see why so many schools are so willing to let the University of Texas make their decisions for them.

It's called self-determination, cowards. Look it up!

If I were running A&M, I couldn't run fast enough from UT to the SEC.

It's almost as it these schools have been kicked around so much for so long by Texas, that they can't imagine life without being kicked around by them. It's sick.

I would love to see all the other Texas teams leave U of Texas by themselves to go to the Pac 10 and see how they make it. I think it would hurt their recruiting overall in Texas but it would not destroy it but it sure would hurt it and help all the other schools in Texas and LSU also.

It's a little known state law that TAMU MUST follow Texas wherever the Horns go. This is to ensure that the rivalry stays alive. Must be true, heard it on HBO.
