WVU is not the right fit for the wants and needs of the SEC from a business and recruiting standpoint

Gives you a foot print in the pittsburgh, dc/bmore, philly, and ny/nj markets. It would help open up recruiting in the area as long as ohio and western pa.

Virginia Tech or a North Carolina is who the SEC wants. I think West Virginia would be a better fit for the ACC.

the snobbish ACC looks down on wvu very much. VT doesn't lock up the DC market. Not all their games are even on TV around here

I don't know why the ACC would look down on WVU if your teams keep winning like they have been. Things will shake out one way or the other. I've been to West Virginia before, and yes it does have a Southern feel to it, but like it or not, Virginia fought in the war where the north invaded the South so I think they get the offer should the SEC decide to expand. I'm not sold that these conferences will expand to 16 teams just yet. Personally, I like things the way they are but I love the idea of having a team from Texas and naturally we are going to need a team to balance out that SEC East and I just think Virginia Tech is the best fit.

No. WVU has done and amazing job doing more with less but they just don't bring enough to warrant the regional stretch. They are much better off being a kingpin in the Big East.
