So just as Nebraska was building to provide a potential competitor for OU and UT, NOW these 2 schools, who already had a very unfair advantage in making it into the BCS, now have it even easier without a conference championship game to navigate?

Your reasoning is exactly why I believe Nebraska and Oklahoma aren't in Alabama's class. When each team was still in the Big Eight, they basically had to get up for one big game a year against each other. All of the other programs were pretty much dogshit. It was like having eight Vandys, Kentuckys and Mississippi States in the conference. How difficult can it be to dominate that league?
