and you think playoff games in college stadiums would not be able to get corporate advertisers and TV deals?

if it would, they would be doing it.
there is a reason we still stick with the bowl system and its not tradition or any bs like that

Bowl games might make money, but the schools don't. Even Auburn lost money last year playing in the NCG. Bama did as well the year before that.

Look at what happened to UConn last year, lost $1.6M. Using the scenario posted above, that's exactly what the 1st round would be, except the bigger school isn't going to sell all their tickets either.

As a LSU fan, I'm not spending money to travel to Miami/Glendale/Pasadena for the 1st round to see LSU play the #1 or #2 non-AQ school. I'm saving my money for the 2nd/3rd round games.

Yes. This would make the regular season as exciting as the NBA regular season. Congrats!

No. The regular season would have more meaning to more teams because so many teams would still have a shot at one of the eight spots through November.
The way it is now most teams have no shot at a BCS Championship bid after eight or nine games

I like the way it uses the four biggest bowls as well as the Cotton Bowl site. The other bowls could still be played as consolation games, which is what they are now anyway.
