The Disparity in TV Revenue Between SEC & Big12

At first thought, you would have to think Big 12 Commish Dan Beebe is pacing in his office suite in Irving, TX, wondering WTF? You recently capped a year in which your conference brought in a record $140M in revenue, up 6.9% from the previous year. You had a thrilling conference championship game in probably the premier stadium setting in the country in the middle of a thriving metropolis. Many more seemed sure to follow. One of your members played in the BCS Championship Game, and played well.
However, these figures cannot be overlooked:
TV revenue (over life of contracts) for Big 12: $528M
TV revenue (over life of contracts) for SEC: $3.1B
Considering that, all that is happening now is not really surprising.

Those numbers look reasonable to me. In the Big-12 there's 2 big games a year. In the SEC there's 10.
