All 10 members of the Big 12 signed an agreement to stay together for at least 10 years last year.

i'm sure there is a buyout/leaving clause/penalty/fee like in the last big12 deal

The problem is the 14th team. uGA, UF and USC did not want to include either FSU or Clemson.

They still needed one more team to stop the process. Auburn may have been that team. Many reasons why, but Auburn prefers Missouri which would move Auburn to the East which would allow us to play our traditional rivals (UT,UF, UGA). Problem then becomes Bama who would have to drop either UT or Auburn.

May still happen, but it was the 14th team that was the issue.

Man, screw all you let's keep it at 12 teams bullshite.

If you aren't changing and evolving you're dying.

Come on expansion

Yes but the ACC has always sucked.

Before expansion it was Florida State and the seven dwarves.

No, the East teams will not allow this! LSU shouldn't either

Yea we will. Just because UF is full of pusses doesn't mean the rest of us are. Hell, I want FSU purely to piss of the turds.

add Clemson or Georgia Tech

Not only a horrible idea but it won't happen. They had their chance and they add absolutely nothing but hoards of asian virgin dudes who would rather go dressed up to a Harry potter premier than a football game. Not like they're missing much anyway.

Plus I heard the So Con is already courting the north avenue trade school

But there is also the legal ramifications of frustrating their TV deal with ESPN and Fox who signed on just last year with an agreement of the current alignment remaining for 10 years.

I don't know the terms of those contracts but as a party to those contracts premised on their implied promise to remain, TAMU may have further legal issues.

Why do we have to have a super conference? Look at the PAC whatever number it's up to now. If you have a sack of 10 turds, 12 turds, 14 turds, or 16 turds, it's still a big sack of shite in the end.

We have 12 quality institutions in a quality conference why F with it?

Bama dropping AU would be a disaster of epic proportions.

For more money, more exposure, more diversity and just a new challenge.

People like you would have just sat around back in 1492 and said frick going to the new world.

College football is changing, evolving. Super conferences. New rivalries, new opponents.

It would be great.

I get tired of playing the same damn teams every year.

Dude, stop being such a fricking hypocrite. You really want to sit their and call UF pusses while in the exact same post tell us that GT shouldn't come?

Give me a break, DGD, I like you as a poster but you are a little backwards on this one. Adding FSU helps them and does nothing for UF so why should we welcome them with open arms. We play them every year anyway. The exact same situation as ya'll and Tech and don't try to act like it ain't.

People like him wouldn't know what a map was if he still doesn't know how many teams are in the Pac.

Can I borrow your crystal ball when you are finished with it? Name one fact that says having a larger conference, which every one thinks is such a good idea today will actually make things better.

You can't, cause you don't know. I have a feeling it's a bad idea. We have 12 schools that get along just fine and then we are going to add a sour grape in ATM cause they got their panties in a wad over Texas so who says they aren't gonna act like little bitches and be a head ache to the SEC as well?

I said I only wanted FSU to piss y'all off . Truthfully I'd rather add Clemson but that's a different story. But adding GT =\= adding FSU. GT plays in a high school stadium with a high school offense with a fan base that could be put to shame by high schools. They add much, much less than FSU.

I called UF pusses though on the A&M deal cause the OP is thanking y'all for not including aTm, not excluding FSU. I want aTm and I'll be even more pissed we couldn't get them because UF didn't want to let a rival in, ya know? And I already UF anyway so it's easy

So UF has the power to make this decision for the rest of the SEC.

That's awesome.

The SEC could always excommunicate them if they proved bitchy.

Dude put yourself in our position. Do you want aTm so bad that if they came GT would have to come?

Be honest here. You don't want Tech just as much as we don't want FSU and it doesn't have to do with fear, it has to do with hating your rival so much that you would do almost anything not to help them in any way possible. At least that's how I feel.
