So, when you do things like the LHN, it just piles on to more of the same crap that causes people like me to dislike your fanbase so much.

Would any school have turned down the $300 million offer from ESPN? Of course not.

Has there been any peep out of ND on this?

Not a peep. Just Deloss. I believe the SEC will stop at 14 and the Superconference will be put off for a few more years. If the SEC goes to 16 (Highly unlikely) then ND will explore all options as the landscape of College Football would be changing. The Big 12 would get a good hard look because of the benefits it could offer.

We will not join the Big Ten....Ever... Has to be a conference that will allow us our own network.

I've always wondered if ND wouldn't mind "sticking it" to the Big 10 by going off an joining another conference.

I'd welcome them to the Big 12, although I have very bad childhood memories of the Texas - ND "rivalry".

No. Notre Dame would not go to a conference they see as academically inferior.

That will change very quickly in the era of the superconference.

yes, you will.

You will not join the big 12 b/c it is academically inferior. you will not join the big east because it is a shitty football conference.

PAc 10? I doubt it. Like i said, your tv deal wont mean shite in the face of getting left out in the cold.

Won't happen. As much as people love to hate ND we will never be "left out". We will not be in the Big Ten, I am not stating this just because I think so it is because I know we wil never join the Big 10. It would either be the ACC or Big 12.

Before reading more on the back-story between Michigan and Notre Dame (when Notre Dame famously went independent and started playing a national schedule) I had always assumed the Big 10 was the natural fit that would eventually happen

Now I feel less sure - it seems to me that Notre Dame will have options. I would be highly skeptical of them going to the ACC and the option that makes sense to me (that few seem to talk about) is the PAC. They have a history with the PAC (esp USC obviously but they also play teams like Stanford regularly) and while there are some stinker academic schools in that conference there are also some good schools.

The Big 12? I can see why they would make some financial sense (if the Big 12 lets them keep their own network deal) but otherwise it seems like a bad deal for Notre Dame (would likely lose most of their traditional rivalry games against PAC 12 and Big 10 opponents).
