Wow I thought Pickens was a pretty smart guy. I'm paraphrasing here.
On Texas A&M recruiting Texas after moving to the SEC...
"Well you just have to look at Arkansas. I don't think they have 4 or 6 players from Texas on their team. Why would A&M be any different? They are giving up being a Texas school to be a Southeastern school"
Hmmm...why would TEXAS A&M still be able to recruit TEXAS after moving to the SEC if Arkansas couldn't? Maybe because they are in TEXAS!

Poor man is senile, and OSU is worried that OU will break away from them and they'll have nothing.
A&M is not physically leaving the state of Texas! We'll be right here, and Texas recruits will continue to give us looks.

'Poor' Ole T Boone wants to make sure all that money he dropped on that stadium has a Big XII logo on it in two years.
ATM leaving is the beginning of the end of the BigXII and, therefore, the end of OSU's relevance.
His recruiting comments won't make ATM stop and say,"Hmm, maybe he's right....we're coming back."

I counted 19, including players from such "terrible" Texas HS programs as Southlake Carroll and Dallas Carter. Plus one from Bowie HS in Austin!

I wish he had been good enough to make it at A&M on his basketball scholarship, it'd sure be nice to have his money.

A&M is essentially in the shadows of the 4th largest city in the country. I think they'll be able to recruit just fine. haha

He is an investor who is watching his massive investment floating into unstable and unknown territory. He knows OSU is still a child among men. Hence his irrational statements. If he were on Wall Street, he would be pacing back and forth in front of an open window with a trembling hand and beads of sweat on his forehead.

I counted 21 on Arkansas' roster.
So he was only off by a magnitude of 5.
