SEC Official Says Looking At Louisville as 14th Member...LOUISVILLE!?

Let me begin by saying this guy sounds like a weasel. Here you go...
Regarding the secret meeting, aTm approaching the SEC, and why aTm:
Regarding Florida State:
I don't see aTm wanting to be in the Pac 12 and I don't see the Pac 12 wanting aTm. And what other conference would they consider going to? Also, what a crock of shite about Florida State and not wanting to break up another conference. If the SEC decides Louisville or West Virginia is the 14th member doesn't that break up the Big East?
Regarding the 14th member:
I guess I have it backwards. My thoughts were that Kentucky would not want Louisville on their level while South Carolina would not mind if Clemson came along. Oh well.
This is getting silly. We don't need aTm and we really don't need Louisville. Are the people running the SEC really considering this?

Regarding the secret meeting, aTm approaching the SEC, and why aTm:
quote:
Earlier Saturday, The New York Times reported that university presidents from the SEC were scheduled to meet Sunday to discuss expansion and Texas A&M. A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Associated Press that the meeting will be held in Atlanta. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting had not been publicly discussed. The SEC is interested in A&M because the move "brings us into the Texas market." But the person added that "it's not about us wanting or needing 14 teams, Texas A&M came to us."
Regarding Florida State:
quote:
The person said it's a "zero chance" that Florida State would be the 14th team and that it is highly unlikely it would be any ACC team. "Our presidents simply don't want to break up another conference," the person said. "Remember, Texas A&M reached out to us. You know how many households there are in Texas? 8.9 million. Why would we want to hand that to the Pac 12 or any another conference?"

Regarding the 14th member:
quote:
West Virginia and Missouri have also been mentioned, but the person said Louisville makes the most sense. "The question is what's the dynamic with Kentucky? Will Kentucky have a problem with it?" the person said. "I doubt Kentucky would have the beef that Georgia does with Georgia Tech or South Carolina does with Clemson."
I guess I have it backwards. My thoughts were that Kentucky would not want Louisville on their level while South Carolina would not mind if Clemson came along. Oh well.

How f@ggy are the powers-that-be, if not wanting FSU. Because despite what UF Gator fans say about UF being able to draw the whole state of Fla, FSU does have a great brand, product, and programs.
FSU provides the SEC with the last big base to the panhandle(despite UF, Bama, Aub, LSU, and UGa allure there also)..
Leaving lil' UM behind, a private school for the Cuban city of Miami, to maybe one day adopt and return to watching the Canes play football.
If anchoring LSU with ATM to the west, and having Bama, Aub, MSU, UM, Vandy, Tenn, all split states and populaces, with UGA having poachers from Aub, Tenn, Bama, LSU, and FSU come recruiting the Peach..
Fellow SEC Prez and ADs are moronic if not demanding that UF be saddled with FSU admission. It makes sense as a counter-balance sure, but it makes even better fiscal sense, for a school that is powerful in Foots and Bases, improving in Baskets and Track, and sits smack in the political pull seat of Florida legislature.
Columbia-Mo(would become the SEC's version of a trip to UDub in Seattle..lost NW conference outpost) and Clemsuck(haven't been good at any sh!t for ages) right next to USCe..another long trip for most..and a joke.
I don't have a problem with the Ville, if UK doesn't, then again screw UK if they do..Ville is Hoops Elite, brings Yum Arena to SEC, Pitino, and plenty of NCAA Hoops pedigree..as like with UK they'll struggle on Football field due to weak in-state talent..probably Bases too.
ATM and FSU..or bust..make it happen.
Screw the rest.

With a coach like Charlie Strong. Louisville could become relevant in the near future. Nevertheless they aren't SEC caliber, but Strong can bring in some kinds and get them motivated to play

The SEC can do no wrong. Seriously. If they add A&M and Louisville, it'll work.

Probably referring to Kentucky and Rick Petino.
