I'd say drop divisions. They're unneeded anyway. Take the top two teams and let 'em duke it out in Atlanta. Four permanent rivals, four rotating games.

So our 4 permanents would be Ole Miss, Alabama, Florida, and Arkansas? It would be weird not playing Auburn every year but Ole Miss and Florida are givens and Arkansas has the boot. It would be either Bama or Auburn.

So I guess it depends on Bama's rivals-Tennessee, Auburn ??

If you did four permanent games I think Auburn would get Bama, Georgia, and then possibly LSU and Florida.

Florida would get Tennessee, Georgia, possibly Auburn and LSU.

That would make LSU's Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and Arky maybe?

I have heard that even tho there isnt a 14th lined up right now, that the SEC will take A&M without a nice, neat package at this time, because if they didn't, and we went PAC 16, they would have no real viable option to deliver the Texas markets.

Essentailly they would be closed off to significat westward expansion, and all the T.V.s we have.

SO I assume there will be a 14th school , but they have time, we wont start playing games until 2011 or 2012.

I was wondering the same thing about the Big XII in 2011, when Nebraska leaves and Colorado still has a year before leaving.

frick. I forgot A&M when making my post.

Yeah, our rivals would be:
TAM
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Florida

Probably rotate Bama and Auburn every year and then 3 other teams

you can still have a champ game of the EAST and WEST champs even if there are 7 teams in the WEST.

its non problematic.

and by and by, another team or three will be in the fold, if/when aTm comes.

so whats the big 10's problem last few years?

Id say permant would be bama, a&m, om and fla/arky.

I'm sure they would add a 14h team by the time TAMU could join.
