UNC would be the prime choice: new state, and everything you mentioned.

the problem with UNC is: Duke/NcState/Wake

we can't take them all (or at least I don't think we can).

I think Slive is looking to add a quality 14th member to the conference. It would be stupid of him to jump and add 16 teams quickly. It's all about quality not quantity in this situation

If all of this goes down and CBS still waits till the third week of the season to start airing games I'm gonna be severely pissed.

Makes sense. Let 12 teams battle it out all season and then play UF in ATL for the Championship game.

Not UNC. That would be freaking awesome in my opinion. Good academics, good baseball team, fair football team and awesome basketball.

UNC is not going anywhere without Duke. State Politics. The Academics at both those schools have alot of power.

What's left? West Virginia/NCState/Missouri/Maryland

No OU in that?

Also to the person that said UVA. Not a chance, their value of Academics fits too well with the ACC no chance they join the SEC. Also Virginia State Legislature worked too hard to get Va Tech in the same conference as them doubt we see them leave va tech.

Also funny video of Mike Sherman at Summer Graduation. Skip to 1:30 and hear the slip up aahha.

I agree. I don't think that there is a big push for 16, just yet. Not until moves are made by other conferences. He is being very proactive, if he does stop at 14, I bet he will have a plan to add two more quickly when the need arises.

Also this doesn't change anything for Texas. Texas will still get Recruits (the state is f'n huge)
and A&M will forever be their bitch.

Agreed, You've gotta think about it this way. Once the Big 12 falls apart and schools like Oklahoma & Okla lite go somewhere, that conference has no other attractive teams left (I personally believe UT goes independent). The ACC will sweep the remaining teams in the state of florida and take West Virginia in my honest opinion.

I also believe the Big 10 offers to Missouri & Rutgers somewhere down the line. Idk where schools like TCU & Boise St will end up

I think that this will help TX A&M's recruiting.

Has anyone posted these tweets yet....

Like Fischer says, it's very telling that the "UT staff" is working on names to replace TAMU.

Texas controls everything. Looks like the other members have no say at all.

TCU has already joined the Big East. I think Kansas and K State will look to the BIg East. If the SEC will not take both Choklahoma and Okie St, I think that they look toward the PAC 12 or whatever they call it now. Baylor and Tx Tech look to PAC 12 also. Texas- Independent. Boise State- Don't give a damn where Bucky and the Broncos wind up.

Well TCU is in the Big East for next year doubt they move conferences that quickly, IF they did want to move to another conference they'd probably do it some time down the road.
