Unrealistic but desirable:
1-Notre Dame (too smug, scared)
2-Texas (too smug, scared)
3-Oklahoma (too scared travel works better in South division of a Pac-12)
Possible but unlikely, somewhat desirable
4-Virginia Tech (above-average academics, strong team, passionate fan-base, D.C. area TV markets)
5-Univ. of North Carolina (good academics expands geographic reach, good basketball programme, mediocre football programme)
6-Duke Univ. (strong academics, good basketball programme, send Vandy to west, Duke to east to maintain balance of power)
7-Univ. of Virginia (good academics, expands geographic reach,
8-Florida St./Clemson (good football programmes, that's about it)
Realistic options:
1-Mizzou
2-West Virginia
3-any other desperate Big10/east colleges within reasonable geographic distance

South Florida is going to need some place to go. After the Big East dissolves, RutgersUCONNPittsburghSYRACUS go to the ACC, and Louisville goes to the Big 12, we should make West Virginia and South Florida play a one-game playoff to see who gets to join the SEC.

Yeah, unrealistic, but if they could get over themselves Texas would fit better than the other teams on the list.

These should all move under "unrealistic but desirable". Reason: they think the SEC schools are beneath them academically.

no college team owns the DC market, its a redskins town
When Maryland is half decent at anything they get the majority of the love
Hell some of the VT games were not even on tv last season in Northern VA

You are right! But...FUTEXAS is a bunch of pussies that wants a weak schedule to say "we're texas" and "we deserve a shot at the mnc." F' em I say!

DC Market = The metropolitan area

I'm from Northern Virginia and this is definitely a Hokie town. Have you ever been to Arlington?

does a bear shite in the woods? Arlington is an awful example for the fact young professionals from all over live there. VT has Baileys, WVU has ragtime and First Down and Penn State has Carpool.
Like I said early about 4 VT games were not on DC area tv last year
Im not saying there is not a shite load of Hokie fans in the area, but no college dominates the DC market when it comes to TV and if Maryland is good they are on 24/7

Ditto.
Either way you look at it the area is heavily pro Tech, go to any sports store in NOVA. The main college gear is Tech/UVA, not Maryland and not Penn St.
And about the four games not being on last year, who is your provider? They are always on.

Agree to disagree, but I think you have some bitter feelings towards Tech that shapes your opion on the subject.
And no I'm not a Tech supporter.

I had FIOS when i lived in the area but my friends had Cox, im talking about the games that were not picked up by regular espn or the ACC network. They were on espn3 and unless you watched online you had to go to the bar to watch.
Every WVU game was either on espn or i was able to watch on MASN live.

The DC area is more than NOVA

it has nothing to do about how i dislike them, no college team has a grip on the DC area esp one 4 hours away that no one cared about before MV7
