This is the only way that I can figure it out.

Most teams play five from their side of the conference and three from the other side. The only way I can see it working is getting rid of four of the east-west permanent games next season and having TAMU play those instead.

2012 TAMU Conference Opponents

Home: LSU, Kentucky, Arkansas, Vanderbilt
Away: Florida, Mississippi St., South Carolina, Ole Miss

The numbers work, and the conference office can still placate the state of Alabama.

What say you?

I suspect that we will alternate having LSU and Arkansas at home. Those are the two existing rivalries we have in the SEC West.

in the future this could be true, but i believe you would get both at home next season to keep the number of home and away game consistent for the current SEC schools

I like the OP's idea. That would be the simplest and least disruptive way of doing it. I would like to see A&M at Williams-Brice stadium in Columbia,SC.

I like OP's schedule, I think A&M would be very satisfied with that.

I would suspect A&M would be at LSU because the teams in question on LSU's schedule that's gonna be taken off are South Carolina and Mississippi State. South Carolina would be taking the place of Tennessee on LSU's schedule and LSU played Tennessee on the road this year. Also LSU played Mississippi State on the road this year so that's another home game slot for LSU next year.

LSU loses Florida (road game) and picks up A&M. therefore, A&M would be a road game. everything else stays the same.
