If we do that, then how many conference games are teams going to have in one year? That's seven just in a division. Plus I doubt we'd want to give up our rivalries with Florida and Alabama or even Auburn. That's ten without rotating the others.

One rotating conference game from the East. 8 total conference games.

I just don't see us playing Alabama, Florida, and Auburn only once every eight years. Also, usually it's a home and away pair of games. If we did that, we'd have 14 years between Bama games. I can't even imagine that.

That's the reality of a 16 team conference whether it's the SEC or Pac 10/16. You'll rarely see the other side of the conferences' stadiums.

That's fine if the PAC 10 wants to do it, but it will not work for us. We've been playing Alabama once a year for more than 75 years. I wonder how many years we've missed, if any. I know we threw away our annual rivalry game with Tulane (which I did not like because it was once one of the oldest CFB rivalries), but I do not want to end the Bama rivalry. Such a suggestion is preposterous.

EDIT:

It appears we've missed five out of 77 years.
