Now that Pittsburgh has broken up the Backyard Brawl...

West Virginia's path is cleared. Many mkany years ago West va was in the old Southern Conference, the forerunner of the ACC. They have souerthn football roots. Now that Pitt has said goodeye, just a matter of time for West Va to move to the SEC

WVU will be in the SEC but I don't think the "Backyard Brawl" is over.They'll just play a nonconference game like FSU/Fla,UGA/GT and Clemson/USCe.Has more to do with Pitt being ahead of the curve and making it their choice of conference instead of waiting to late and being left in a bs Big East conference(though the conference may be called something else once all the movement is over).Smart move by Pitt and Syracuse imo.Taking advantage of their big time bb teams to make a move into one of the super conferences.

Crazy how wvu two most hated rivals have screwed them over in the last 10 years to bolt to the acc but we will get the last laugh ending up in the sec the hokies will come begging to play us again to add credibility to their pathetic acc schedule

WVU-Pitt have only been in a conference together for 20 years. The Backyard Brawl predates that, and should continue without a conference affiliation.
