IMHO, aTm is a good fit for the SEC, both athletically & culturally.
They would start with a long history of playing UArk during the old Southwest Conference days, & the LSU/aTm football series goes back 100 years with the teams having played each other 50 times.
As noted, they field very good teams in many other sports (T&F, baseball, etc.), and would add to the overall competition level beyond just football.
Resources & facility-wise, aTm already looks like an upper-tier SEC program--90K+ seat football stadium, newer basketball arena, new baseball statium, etc. They don't lack for $$$ and won't lack for support, either.
Culturally, sure they have their odd traditions & customs, but show me an upper-tier SEC program that doesn't.
For one, if aTm joins, I'll welcome another fine ag school to go along with our beloved Ol' War Skule, LSU A&M.
