C-USA commissioner Britton Banowsky told the Star-Advertiser, "I think it is premature to think in terms of next year (2012) for sure, but the following year (2013) is something that is possible, I think."
Banowsky said it would be football-only alliance designed to increase TV rights fees, enhance scheduling and lead to an automatic BCS berth for the winner of a playoff between the champions of the two conferences.

The MWC is pretty close to a BCS bid on its own. Not sure why it would share it with C-USA, other than to garner more support. C-USA east is horrible right now, and the West isn't great.

Ohh I get it.. so now if Boise beats all of their high school teams, they play the best high school team from C-USA and that means they're awesome enough to get into the BCS championship.. right?

the MWC has no chance at a bcs birth on its own now that TCU is leaving.

That's pretty much it. "We not only went undefeated, but we beat the CUSA champ too."
But in the future, you may see a couple of 8-3 teams playing for a BCS spot, which wouldn't be very fair considering the competition.
Maybe there will be a caveat that the champion must be ranked in the Top 15 or something.

We had an 8-4 team beat up a bunch of high school teams last year to get into the Fiesta.
