I guess you are right about the captive audience stuff. I'm also not really the biggest fan of the tone Billy Liucci covers A&M with on TexAgs.

I just think its funny that they keep talking about the SEC academics being poor when as a whole its a better academic conference than the current Big 12.

Only 60/40?

I don't think Mizzou has the want.

Application denied.

Half my family is from KC and are Mizzou grads. To a man they want to remain in the Big 12. Same goes for everyone they know.

The new revenue sharing deal in the Big 12 is the best deal for the school...bar none.

Holy shite.

Listening to that Mizzou radio show: "Everything bad that ever happens was invented in the Southeastern Conference."

Most Mizzou fans are pro-SEC, but definitely not guy hosting that call-in show.

yeah this host is a pussy. the SEC has had a lot of problems in regards to compliance but if you take a look at the rest of the country we are far from the only ones being shady.

He's an ESPN guy right? Seems like he's pushing the pro-Texas, pro-LHN agenda and doesn't want Mizzou to jump ship and possibly kill the Bevo IX.

Southwest Conference, the Pacific Coast Conference (cheating predecessor to Pac 12 that was dissolved because of pay for play scandal), etc.

Hardly invented in the South.

Auburn has perfected not getting caught though...

The host and callers on this show are a bunch of pussies.

VERY Big 12 if you ask me.

I hope the pro-SEC Mizzou fans aren't just a vocal minority, because if thats the case, I don't want Mizzou.

You won't find an A&M fan who will tell you to your face that we don't want the SEC. Sounds like Mizzou fans are quite the opposite, and very divided.

He's right about the third tier networks in the SEC.

Sun Sports already has a $100 million deal with Florida for third tier rights.

Florida, like Texas, is a huge state (population wise) so those third tier rights are worth a shitton.

But the Gators don't rub everyone's nose in it I guess...

well, its only regional deal and it includes other schools and teams from the state.

pretty different from an ESPN backed single school product that buys off conference games and is being forced down the conferences throat

I can almost guarantee that there will be not "Gator Network" and honestly, why would a school want their own network over a conference network after all the trouble the LHN created? Slive is working on creating a conference network and that won't be possible if a team sells their third-tier rights. Plus, the rest of the conference would go apeshit.
